What an AI automation agency does
The work falls into three stages. First, the agency studies how the business operates and identifies tasks worth automating. Second, it builds the automations: workflows that move information between systems, and AI agents that read, write or talk. Third, it keeps them running, because the tools they depend on change.
- Lead capture, routing and follow-up
- AI receptionists and voice agents for phone calls
- Chat assistants for websites
- Scheduling, reminders and confirmations
- Reporting and internal admin
How it differs from other providers
- A consultant advises on what to do. An agency builds it.
- A software vendor sells a product you configure. An agency assembles and customizes a system for you.
- A marketing agency brings in leads. An automation agency makes sure they are answered, followed up and booked.
- A freelancer may build one workflow. An agency is expected to maintain the whole system over time.
When hiring one makes sense
It makes sense when you can name the repeated work that is costing you time or customers, and nobody in the business has the hours or skills to automate it and keep it working.
It makes less sense if you have one small task and someone willing to learn a tool. Start there, and bring in help when the pieces need to connect.
How to choose one
- Ask to see something they built that is running today, not a slide
- Ask whether they use their own systems in their own business
- Ask who maintains the system after launch and what that costs
- Ask what happens when the AI gets something wrong
- Be wary of guaranteed results or savings quoted before they have seen how you work
Where DGP sits
Digital Growth Partners is an AI automation agency. We design, build and run the systems, and we operate our own company on the same kinds of automations and voice agents we build for clients.
